Video #3 Of Series #1 Is Up And Thriving

Saturday was expecting to have a lot of time to work on things for the channel and website because the kids were over at the in-laws for the weekend. Well it didn't quite work out that way. Saturday received a call from some clients that wanted to see some houses about 45 minutes away from my house. That took about 4 hours of my day and then had some other houses for another client to show. Promised my wife we would go to dinner but afterwards we went and saw Avengers Infinity War. Didn't get home until after 11:00 PM and was really tired at that time.

Normally Sunday is my film day but we had to drive to Grand Rapids to pick the kids up. For those of you who don't know that is over a 2 hour drive for us from Ann Arbor. We promised to eat an early dinner there and didn't get home until after 7:00 PM. It was a very busy weekend and left me not feeling motivated to do any filming. I did begin reading the Tal'Dorei Campaign setting and I am loving it. So many good things in this book that can be mined for my own games. I also received a message from Vault of Midnight about running a game for Free RPG Day. I have applied to run a 5e game and will keep you posted on if I will actually be selected to run a game.

On Monday was going to get the video planned and had some more work things to take care of for some clients. Managed to get my notes done for my video but didn't film yet and so I was still behind on where I would normally want to be.

When Tuesday rolled around I felt pressure to get things done for Thursday. When I began filming I was struggling with the delivery of my message. Filmed some things 4 or 5 times even. When I was done I felt like it was going to be tough to make a good video but I was wrong. I began to revamp my Patreon page and I must say I am excited for what I have planned thanks to my Patreon account.

Wednesday while editing I was extremely happy with how things were coming together. Applying some new things I had learned came together well. Still some room to improve but I think that it came out pretty well. I am thinking of pre-recording some things that I can re-use for all future videos but not sure if that would come across ok or not.

After another week checking my subscribers I had 77 subscribers which I think is pretty good after 3 weeks. The 2nd video didn't do as well as the first one as it relates to views but I think the video was better. This 3rd video is my best one yet and I am hoping we can hit 250 views in the first week it is up. We aren't currently on pace with it though. Only the community can help this goal get realized.

I also uploaded a new video that is more of a preview of the Tal'Dorei Campaign setting. Once I have read it all I plan on doing a Flip Through Friday on the old Channel for this book. This book is a good one.

For anyone curious there are 7 more videos in this Introduction to Tabletop RPGs series. Then we will be diving into How To Play Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition. With that series I expect the channel to really do well. I think a lot of people have subscribed for the Dungeons and Dragons series.

This is my weekly blog that I continue to give updates on what I did for the week. Would love to hear your feedback in the comments.
